Post subject: Pros & Cons of Non-stick cookware & stainless steel Reply with quote
Hello People,

I want to start a discussion about pros and cons of buying/using non-stick cookware and stainless steel cookware.

Which do you prefer? and why?

Let me start with few points

Non -stick
     Pros
         Easy to clean
         Use less oil
     Cons
Have to use wooden, plastic spoons to cook which is difficult to get
Not durable, most of them last a year or 2
Harmful if the non-stick layer starts peeling out

Stainless steel
     Pros
         Heat spreads evenly
         Lasts a long time
No worry about contaminating food since there are chemicals on them
Can use any kind of spatula/spoon.
    Cons
         Heavy
Difficult to clean if food stick to the cookware
Have to use more oil to prevent food from sticking
